It’s snowing… again! Since this will probably be one of the last snowfalls of the year, (I hope!) I decided it was the perfect day to make snow ice cream. You know what they say… when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. So… when life gives you snow, you make ice cream. Making snow ice cream is one of my favorite activities for kids. Children will simply mix a few ingredients together with a bowl full of snow to create a surprisingly delicious ice cream.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Milk
- 1/3 cup of Sugar
- 1 teaspoon of Vanilla
- 8 cups of Snow
- Sprinkles or Chocolate Syrup (optional)
Supplies:
- Measuring cups (1 cup and 1/3 cup)
- Measuring spoons (1 teaspoon)
- Large mixing bowl
- Mixing spoon
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, sugar, and vanilla and mix well.
- Add fresh, clean snow and mix till it has the consistency of ice cream.
- Add sprinkles or chocolate syrup. This is optional but my children highly recommend it!
∗ Consume snow at your own risk. It may contain pollutants.
