Making Vanilla Ice Cream In A Bag is one of my favorite outdoor activities for kids on a hot summer day. My children always have a blast shaking the bag and creating a sweet treat that they get to eat. One of my children has a sensitivity to dairy so we made a dairy-free version too.
Vanilla Ice Cream in a Bag
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup of Milk
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla
- 2 Trays of Ice Cubes
- 6 Tablespoons of Salt
Supplies:
- Large Resealable Bag (Gallon Size)
- Small Resealable Bag (Quart Size)
- Measuring Cups
- Measuring Spoons
- Ice Cube Trays
Directions:
1. Put the milk, sugar, and vanilla in the quart size bag and seal closed.
2. Put the ice cubes, salt, and the quart size bag into the gallon size bag and seal closed.
3. Shake the bag for 10 minutes or until the ingredients are mixed together and frozen.
Dairy-Free Vanilla Ice Cream in a Bag
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup of Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1/2 Tablespoon of Honey
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla
- 2 Trays of Ice Cubes
- 6 Tablespoons of Salt
Supplies:
- Large Resealable Bag (Gallon Size)
- Small Resealable Bag (Quart Size)
- Measuring Cups
- Measuring Spoons
- Ice Cube Trays
Directions:
1. Put the Vanilla Almond milk, honey, and vanilla in the quart size bag and seal closed.
2. Put the ice cubes, salt, and the quart size bag into the gallon size bag and seal closed.
3. Shake the bag for 10 minutes or until the ingredients are mixed together and frozen.
